OUR APPROACH TO LIP FILLER

Natural Proportion

Lip filler is not simply injecting filler into the lips; it requires natural, balanced planning that respects lip anatomy.

Hyaluronic Acid

Today, the gold standard in lip filler treatment is the use of temporary fillers containing hyaluronic acid, a substance already present in the body.

Anatomical Planning

Lip structure, volume needs, and facial proportions are evaluated together to create a personalized injection plan.

What Is Lip Filler?

Lip filler is the procedure of injecting filler material into specific points of the lips in order to reshape them and increase their volume in the right proportions. Among all filler applications, this is the treatment that best distinguishes a skilled practitioner from an inexperienced one.

Types of Lip Fillers

Throughout history, many permanent substances such as paraffin, silicone, and polyacrylamide have been tried for lip augmentation, but all have resulted in disappointment. Today, lip filler is performed with a substance called Hyaluronic acid (HA). HA fillers are temporary, lasting between 6 and 12 months depending on their type. HA is a substance that already exists in the body and is constantly produced and broken down. Therefore, its side effects are much fewer compared to other materials.

Who Is Lip Filler Suitable For?

Lip filler is used to correct volume deficiency in the lips or certain structural/proportional irregularities. At younger ages, it can be used for fuller lips, while at older ages it is an effective tool for treating vertical lip wrinkles, age-related volume loss in the lips, and sagging at the corners of the mouth.

How Is Lip Filler Performed?

Lip filler is an injection procedure that takes approximately 5-10 minutes. First, the lips are numbed at certain points. Then, injections are performed according to a specific anatomical plan, emphasizing the anatomical features of the lips without overdoing it. Filling the lips is not simply squeezing filler into the lip. It is an advanced injection procedure that requires serious anatomical knowledge and an aesthetic perspective.

Side Effects of Lip Filler

The most common side effect of lip filler is swelling in the lips that lasts for 1-2 days. Apart from this, bruising may occur rarely, and very rarely granulomas (inflammatory reactions), firmness, or various reactions related to the use of low-quality products may be seen.

Is Lip Filler Permanent?

None of the high-quality lip fillers are permanent. Permanent fillers are not commonly preferred today and, when used, may cause serious reactions. As in the rest of the world, the gold standard in our country is Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers. There are many different types of these fillers. Generally, medium-firm fillers are preferred for lip contouring, while softer fillers are preferred for volume.

Swelling and Edema After Lip Filler

Following lip filler treatment, there will be swelling (edema) lasting approximately 2 days. This is completely normal. Intermittent cold application on the first day helps reduce edema. Bruising may rarely occur, and it usually heals within 7 days.
